Our film genre

our film genre

the genre of our 2 minute opening of a film is going to be a crime thriller. the plot of our story is a person who is transporting something in a case which is handcuff  to the persons hand is murdered and detectives go to investigate the crime scene and the body straight away they notice his hand was cut of for this case of his, the detectives know that it was a case because the case is on the crime scene but empty. we are going to use fake blood and a special effect that makes it looks like the victim is bleeding and injured it will also be used to help indicate what the murderer has done to the victim in order to kill him and retrieve the case, because we are including fake blood our film will appeal to thriller loving viewers. our target audience would be teenagers and young adults this is because young audiences enjoy seeing alot of blood also they would enjoy the mystery involved in a crime film as well as young adults, young adults would enjoy our opening of a film more because they would enjoy more the mystery behind the film and they would also pay more attention to the details of the clues in the film which means it would be easier for the young adults to follow the story line rather than the teenagers, the target gender would be male as male audiences stereo typically prefer thrillers to women as women are seen to prefer romances or comedy's and men are seen to enjoy crime thrillers and action.

Rules of continuity in filming

 rules of continuity in filming

continuity rule is where to create the impression of two characters talking and looking at each other there is a line the camera can not cross otherwise the audience will get confused because it would look like the two characters are talking to themselves which wouldn't make any sense. you can use any camera shot at any angle along this line just as long as the camera does not cross it.

Location of film

location of film

i thought that we could use this location by the river for our film because it allows us to do a high angle long shot also it would be good for a chase scene as the long shot would get both actors in the detective and the bad guy. there would be houses in the back ground so it would allow the viewer to get the sense that it is in the country side and not the city because of the trees and the old houses in the background.

Typical romance

typical romance

a typical romance usually has a love triangle which means the boy will at the start never get the girl however towards the end he will eventually get her but there is another 3rd person who is stopping them from coming together this person could be the parents of the boy or the girl, it could be another person wanting to go out with the girl or boy. another typical thing in a romance is the colour red this colour is usually associated with love or blood and that concept interests the target audience into watching the film. the typical viewer of a romance film is a female audience usually the film will comfort the viewer by relating to their problems f or example the viewer could have just gone through a brake up and so in the film there could be a brake up and the girl finds someone better or gets back together with the boy this comforts the viewer. the typical viewer is usually a female women who has just gone through a break up and is watching the romance film to make her feel better it is upon the films job to achieve this so that she enjoys the film and gets emotionally attached to the film. in a romance the camera shots are usually long shots this means the viewer can have an over view of the film and judge each character however there are some close shots of the characters and generally the characters that have close ups are the main characters and are the favoured by the audience. in a romance film there is usually a secret crush on someone without that someone knowing that they have a secret crush on them and the storyline basically follows them getting closer to falling in love with each other in the end however in some romance films there can be something dramatic that happens which keeps them apart so that they cannot come together this could be the women falls in love with the wrong person or the other way around but eventually in the end they will come together.
