Jurassic park is a adventure sci-Fi film. in the opening scene all the characters are holding cattle prods this suggests that they are trying to herd a animal of some sort against its will it also shows that they are dominant at this point in time this is backed up by the camera angle which is a high angle looking up at the character however it changes and looks down at the character being eaten which suggests that the tables have turned and the characters that were in control are no longer in control and it is all chaotic. the lights in the background is bright and light up the scene well this gives the viewer the feel that it is dark so therefore late at night which makes the viewer think that they are doing something they shouldn't be otherwise they wouldn't be doing it at night secretly. the viewer never actually see's fully what is inside the container which makes them excited and they want to find out which makes them interested in the film. in the opening they show all the tittles before actually showing any footage this builds up the tension of the film also makes sure the viewer actually sees the title as if there is footage with the title then the viewer would be more focused on the footage this way it makes the viewer remember the film so that after they have seen the film they will go tell a friend to get it spreading the popularity of the film which will increase the sales. they also show the film company that funded the film which is probably because the film company wants to get more publicity so that more people would recognise who made the film and in future will recognise that film company when watching another film also they might see that because they made a success with one film they might think that because they funded it its going to be good aswell so more people would pay to buy it. the first bit of footage the audience see's is the container moving through the trees however the audience doesn't actually see the container just the trees moving this builds up the tension with the audience because they think it is a dinosaur, the audience thinks this because before they showed the first bit of footage they showed the title 'Jurassic park' which gives the audience the impression that there is going to be dinosaurs involved with the storyline of the film. there is a close up on a characters face showing tension because the character looks nervous this raises the tension with the audience because they feel like something bad is about to happen and at this point in the film they think it is a dinosaur in the trees not a container so at this point the audience thinks that a dinosaur is going to come out of the trees and eat that man. all the characters except one are all wearing the same clothes this suggests that they are all employed by the man which is wearing different clothes showing a dominant main character over the rest of the characters.
